A Time to Reminisce and Reflect
December is typically a time to reflect on the past year and make plans for the new one. We’ve spent this month doing both as a group and as individual agents, and are looking forward to all 2019 has to offer our profession and the Austin real estate market.
People often ask what makes Portfolio Real Estate different and what it is about the brokerage that causes us to hang our license here. The answer is simple. The qualifications that had to be met in order to join Austin Portfolio Real Estate mean that, as members, we get the opportunity to work with the most qualified real estate professional in the city.
“The culture of APRE is so special to me,” Julie Gualandri said. “Nowhere else in Austin can you find such a unique concentration of professionals who not only support each other 100%, but form an important network of properties and knowledge that is unmatched.”
Liz Newell added, “I love working alongside my fellow APRE agents as there is a common drive to innovate and learn on a daily basis. This energizes me and keeps me intrigued and driven!”
For David McCall, he’s grateful every day to work with this particular group of professionals.
“In our industry, with all its digital data, there’s still no match for a seasoned professional agent’s experience,” he said. “I consider our collective experience as valuable as my own in representing buyers and sellers.”
We recently gathered for our annual Holiday Party at Hearth and Soul and, just like all of our gatherings, caught up on business while also catching up on our personal lives as well. It was a morning of holiday cheer and looking ahead to next year.
As we look to 2019, we asked some of our agents to forecast what the new year has to offer the Austin real estate market. We’d love to talk more in-depth with you about your goals in real estate, so please contact us!
David Haynes – The 2018 Austin Market continued to set records and 2019 will be no different in my opinion. The Federal Reserve Board wants to continue to raise interest rates, which will affect lending and home buying. I recommend all my buying clients be prepared with a solid lender who is advising them about capital market headwinds and changes. They must be ready to move aggressively on the home they want so they can avoid higher costs. I advise my listing clients to price their for sale property accurately for its condition and location, and be ready to negotiate to make a deal when and if market conditions change quickly.
Liz Newell – I LOVE real estate. It is never monotonous. No two transactions are the same because no two people are the same. We saw a change in the market in 2018, which means it is time to adjust accordingly. I look forward to guiding my clients through this changing market in 2019. This is where I get really excited! I’m looking forward to a new market and to providing my clients with up-to-date knowledge while guiding them in a changing market.
Martha Small – The future is so bright! I cannot wait to bring my clients an even higher level of service and resources thanks to exciting things on the horizon for Austin Portfolio Real Estate + Keller Williams Luxury Homes. The culture of our agents and office only lend to the support of all the great things my clients benefit from.
