Kylee: What do you enjoy most about working with clients during the home-buying/selling process?
Desmond: The most rewarding moment for me is when a client tells me, "I love my house." There's something incredibly fulfilling about playing a part in finding someone's dream home. It genuinely makes my heart sing.
Kylee: Outside of your career, what is a major life goal you have?
Desmond: I want to be remembered as someone who was honest and fair. It’s important to me that I leave a positive mark on the world, one that lasts long after I’m gone.
Kylee: Are there any community or charity initiatives in Austin that you're particularly passionate about?
Desmond: Yes, I was very involved with the GoRed for Women Heart Association. I traveled around giving speeches about the importance of being aware of heart attack risks for women. It’s a cause that’s very close to my heart.
Kylee: In the car, do you prefer podcasts or music? Do you have any favorites?
Desmond: I’m definitely a podcast person. Crime podcasts are my go-to. There’s something about diving into a mystery that captures my attention.
Kylee: What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
Desmond: My ideal weekend involves a mix of work and play. I love starting with a couple of workout classes, then having lunch with my husband. Showing properties in the afternoon followed by dinner with friends is the perfect blend for me.
Kylee: Can you recommend a must-try local restaurant or dish in Austin?
Desmond: Absolutely, Jeffrey's Seafood Risotto is a must-try. It’s a dish that never fails to impress.
Kylee: When it comes to cooking at home, do you have a favorite recipe?
Desmond: Grubhub haha!
Kylee: What do you love about working in the Austin real estate market?
Desmond: Having lived in Austin for many years, I cherish the opportunity to educate newcomers about the different areas. There’s so much to love about this city, and I enjoy helping people discover that for themselves.
