Austin Portfolio Agent Spotlight Series: Meet Martha Small

As a fourth-generation resident, Martha Smalls's roots run deep, making every corner of the city feel like home.

Since 2003, she has seamlessly blended her roles as a trusted Realtor and mother, skillfully guiding both buyers and sellers through the dynamic world of luxury real estate.

With a passion for her hometown, Martha brings a unique perspective and unwavering commitment to every transaction.

Kylee Orlando, the Marketing Director at KW Austin, recently sat down with Martha to chat all things Austin, real estate, family, & more. Take a look at their interview below for an insightful glimpse into Martha's background and experiences.

Kylee: How do you stay updated with the latest market trends and industry changes?

Martha: Networking locally, nationally, and internationally with other Keller Williams leaders!

Kylee: Do you have a favorite part of working in the Austin real estate market?

Martha: It is ever-changing and no two days are the same!

Kylee: What do you enjoy most about working with clients during the home-buying/selling process?

Martha: The concierge aspect of it - being able to share lifelong knowledge of Austin and its blessings (and curses!)

Kylee: Being a 4th generation Austinite, what uniquely Austin event or tradition do you look forward to most every year?

Martha: Zilker Park Christmas Tree - I love seeing it throughout the month of December while driving North and South on MoPac!

Kylee: Can you recommend a must-try local restaurant or dish?

Martha: For a very special night out - J Carver's. Nothing beats a sunny day lunch at Clark's. I am at Maudie's easily 3 x per week. The staff makes that place so special.

Kylee: I basically live at the Maudie's on Lake Austin Boulevard, we should plan to meet up there - ha!

Kylee: What is a major life goal you have outside of your real estate career?

Martha: A family that is giving, caring, and community leaders.

Kylee: Being a mother of 2, do you have a favorite family tradition that you would encourage others to start with their own families?

Martha: Play games together, puzzles, cards you name it - it gets everyone off their phones and spending time together.

Kylee: What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

Martha: Usually at sporting events watching my kids.

Kylee: Final question for you - have you read any books recently that we should add to our must-read list?

Martha: I need to read more - ha!
