Who is Stardust Home Services? 

We are a boutique home management firm that aims to take the burden of daily chores, home maintenance, and home projects off busy homeowners' plates.

What services do Stardust Home Services offer? 

We aim to handle anything on your home's to-do list.  For chores, our team comes to your home and does your household tasks like laundry, tidying before the cleaners come, errands, and other tasks.  For home projects, we oversee the getting estimates and ensuring the work is done, including meeting vendors at your home so you don't have to disrupt your schedule.  For larger renovations, we act as the homeowner's project manager working directly with the GC to ensure schedules are hit and budgets are respected.

What makes Stardust Home Services unique in Austin?

The residential services market is highly fragmented.  Throw a stick and you can find dozens of painters, handymen, GCs, and any other trade.  But you also hear horror stories of unfinished projects, poor quality work, and negligent businesses.  We address that gap by acting as the homeowner's advocate over the long-term, ensuring all tasks within their home are completed as promised.

Describe your process? 

Every engagement starts with a consultation.  From there, we build the home profile, which is a web portal that gives the homeowner access to all of their home's details (key measurements, appliance models/serial numbers, paint colors, vendor info) in one place.  Then we collaborate on a to-do list, jointly aligning on priority and we provide scoping information.  Once that's complete, we start executing. It is a very collaborative process.

What are the most common requests you receive from homeowners? 

Most requests are for minor repairs involving only a few trades.  These projects are typically too small for the high-quality GCs, but homeowners are overwhelmed with the choices of handymen services.  That's where our network comes in clutch.

How do you vet the vendors you recommend?

We interview all of our vendors, including confirming their current liability insurance.  We also talk to previous customers, and we oversee their work on our customer's homes.  Our own team is background-checked and covered by liability insurance.

How could real estate agents typically incorporate your services into their business? 

We help realtors with make-ready whether before a property goes on the market or during negotiations.  That's the most common way we work with realtors.  But we're also happy to offer contributions to closing gifts!

What kind of clients benefit most from your service? 

Our typical clients are high-performers, think of executives, physicians, and attorneys whose time is in high-demand.  These professionals need their homes to be a haven where they reconnect with their loved ones.  Additionally, we offer senior home safety assessments for elderly homeowners who want to remain in their home.
